Microsoft Teams Meeting & Call Initiation to Google

Allow users to break away from their secondary platforms with Mio’s support of cross-platform meetings & call initiation from Microsoft Teams to Google Chat. Mio will deliver ad-hoc Microsoft Teams meeting links to Google Chat, allowing cross-platform colleagues to join meetings.

Cross-platform initiation of meetings and calls from Microsoft Teams is currently not possible due to limitations in Microsoft’s meeting and call APIs. Mio plans to build this functionality as soon as Microsoft provides the required API support.

The Problem

End users have the ability to start ad-hoc meetings with their colleagues. Invitees typically receive a native notification, alerting them to the meeting. When attempting to start a meeting with a colleague who uses a different chat platform, the meeting invitation will not be delivered to the cross-platform colleague.

The Solution

Mio will translate and deliver the meeting and call invitation from Microsoft Teams to the cross-platform colleague in Google Chat. The cross-platform Google colleague will be able to join the Microsoft Teams-hosted meeting and call via the link included in Mio’s message.
