Frequently asked questions

Mio was built with the intention that users will only need to use one platform to work with colleagues on any platform. However, you may still use both platforms, but please be aware that you will receive notifications of received messages on both platforms as well. Your primary platform will also not retain any messages sent from your secondary platform account.
Please request your Mio administrator to "reset" your sync in the Mio Hub. This will allow your administrator to define your new primary platform.

At this time, Mio only syncs group chats between Microsoft Teams and Webex. We are supporting cross-platform group chats for Zoom and Slack in the near future.
Yes, Mio will upload a copy of the file that you shared to your colleague on their own platform. Mio does not store any files that you share between platforms.
Once your account is synced, you may send messages that are edited, deleted, threaded under replies, richly formatted, with @mentions, with files, with emojis, with reactions, and other commonly used collaboration features. Some restrictions may apply. Please refer to your New User Guide for more details (see your IT administrator for more information).
Mio is not a chat migration tool and is not able to transfer any previously sent messages or chat history.
Mio does not persistently store user messages or files. Message meta data is retained by Mio for future reconciliation across platforms. However the underlying messages and files are not permanently retained.
We recommend that you reach out to your IT administrator or Mio administrator for more details. If the issue persists, please submit a ticket via our chat bot in the bottom right corner of this page.
